We will hold our annual meeting and elections on November 16 at Patrick’s in Westport at or about 7 p.m. You can come earlier for dinner (on your own).
On July 20, the membership voted in favor of three proposed changes to our by-laws:
1. Article II, Section 4 which now allows notification of meetings via electronic means – proposal passed 53 in favor, 2 against, 3 withheld
2. Article III, Section 2, Paragraph D which now allows for the secretary to notify the membership of elections via electronic means and that the notification may take the form of a link to an online voting service – proposal passed 53 in favor, 2 against, 3 withheld
3. Article IX which now allows for the amendment of by-laws via electronic means and that the notification may take the form of a link to an online voting service – proposal passed 53 in favor, 2 against, 3 withheld
Beginning with this election we are electronically mailing an absentee ballot to those members with an email address (as supplied by SCCA National) or a postcard with a link to the online copy of the absentee ballot (on our website) to those who have only supplied a mailing address. Absentee ballots must be received by November 10, 2015 due to the federal postal holiday the next day (and the requirement per the by-laws that states absentee ballots shall be returned no later than five days before the election).
