Congratulations to all the winners that we had this race weekend. The ever popular DASH race finished with Denny Stripling in 1st, Rich Wiese in 2nd and Dave Prokopf in 3rd. Bruce Stephens and Alex Furla split $100 for being matched with Denny in the DASH. Thank you to all of the SRF drivers who came out and participated in our 1st SRF Challenge race.

We will begin planning our 2011 racing schedule very soon. Stay tuned for an announcement in the coming months.

The St. Louis Region had 542 members as of Jan. 1, 2010. As of today we have 603 members

Members Matter
Rick Myers, Region Relations Manager

Other items to note through May:

612 members have joined using the Weekend Membership Discount. Among these new members, 54% have also been referred by a current member.

Our total membership is holding steady through mid-year and many Regions have experienced significant growth.

Here are our leaders, through May (June statistics will be available soon):

Jumbo Regions (1000+):
Chicago Region 6%
Detroit/Oregon/Milwaukee Regions 5%
Washington DC Region 3%
Large Regions (401-999):
St. Louis Region 15%
New York Region 8%
Kansas City Region 7%
Medium Regions (201-400):
South Jersey Region 15%
Reno Region 11%
Tennessee Region 9%
Small Regions (<200):
Southern New York Region 38%
Snake River Region 30%
Eastern Idaho Region 25%

The St. Louis Regions stands to get some real $$$ for this wonderful achievement that will benefit our programs (see below)

Regions are eligible for rewards based on an overall increase in their total membership and their membership retention rate. Both are important for the continued growth of the SCCA, since renewing members are more likely to stay with the SCCA for more years while new members are needed to replace those that don’t renew.

Region Goals:

• Membership Growth – 2%

• Membership Retention – 80%

Rewards:

• Level 1: Achieve 2% Growth: Receive $20 in “SCCA Gold” per Member (Individual and First Gear) and $30 in “SCCA Gold” per Family Membership above 2009 membership.

• Level 2: Achieve 2% Growth and 80% Retention: Same as Level 1, plus 5% discount on all 2011 event sanction fees (excluding insurance and late fees).

• Level 3: Achieve 10% Growth and 80% Retention: Same as Level 1, plus 10% discount on all 2011 event sanction fees (excluding insurance and late fees).

• Level 4: Achieve 20% Growth and 80% Retention: Same as Level 1, plus 15% discount on all 2011 event sanction fees (excluding insurance and late fees).
