The 2010 Solo Performance St. Louis Region PDX Series

Plenty of seat time, plenty of individual instruction and a ton of driving exercises make up these events held at Gateway Raceway on the 1.6 mile Road Course; both of which is designed to educate you and make you more confident behind the wheel, both on the track and on the street.

 The first event of the year is April 15, 2010.  That is a Thursday evening.

A Precision Driving Experience (PDX) is an opportunity to work with an instructor and get practice in car handling and precision driving in your own car on the 1.6-mile road course at Gateway International Raceway. This is a non-competitive, un-timed event. Drivers are grouped by prior experience. For safety, drivers are required to wear a helmet, long sleeve shirt and long pants.

This event is an SCCA LEVEL 1 – PDX event in accordance with SCCA Time Trial Rules, which can be found at: http://cms.scca.com/documents/Club%20Forms/2009%20Level1-PDX.pdf

Drivers will be assigned to the novice, intermediate or advanced groups based on prior driving experience and performance. All drivers will have assigned instructors. Depending upon a driver’s progress the day of the event, drivers may advance to another group, based on the recommendation or their instructor and the approval of the Chief Instructor.

All drivers must be SCCA members.  Temporary Memberships are available for $15.

All drivers’ vehicles are required to pass a tech inspection. All convertibles and targa top vehicles must have a roll-bar that meets the rules of SCCA TTR, or a factory hardtop.  Details on the tech inspection can be found at:  http://www.stlpdx.com/uploads/SCCA_PDX_Revised_Tech_Sheet_042208.pdf

All participants MUST wear a Snell SA95, M95 or better helmet, long sleeved shirts, long pants and full shoes.

No Trailers may go through the tunnel at Gateway International Raceway.

SCCA – St. Louis Region – PDX is offering a separate cancellation policy directly: No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Refunds will only be issued if the vacancy created by the cancellation is filled with another registered, paying participant. A $25 cancellation penalty may be applied to all refunds.
