About Performance Driving Experience

SCCA Track events, or Performance Driving Experience (PDE) is a non-competitive way to sharpen your driving skills on a real race track. You'll learn the basics with an instructor one-on-one in your car. This includes the driving line, passing zones, the point-by, flag meanings, and track etiquette. Typically held in the afternoon of the second Tuesday every month during the season, you'll get four twenty-minute sessions of track time. As a novice, you'll be partnered with an instructor for all four sessions. Our home track is World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, where we use the roval, which is the infield road course as well as part of the oval to make a complete circuit.

Getting Started

Before the event, you must print out the Tech Sheet and tech your own car or have someone with experience tech it for you.
