Street Survival School Event 1 Wrap Up
We completed our first Street Survival School of 2024 on June 22nd! A special thanks to the following members:
- Travis and Kim McMillian, who came as parents but wound up working waivers, registration, starting line and resetting cones!
- Dean Plumadore for instructing students all day, while his son was participating in the class.
- All other SCCA members who enrolled a student, volunteered, or both.
Having a successful program is directly related to the efforts of all the amazing volunteers. The parents were impressed with the high level of skill from the coaches and their great attitudes, which resulted in a positive and effective learning environment.
I am also excited to announce that the students and parents gave rave reviews to our special guest, St. Charles County Police Officer Zachery Koch. Officer Koch engaged the students with frank conversations about traffic safety and what to do when stopped by the police. Officer Koch and the St. Charles County Police will continue partnering with us for the rest of the 2024 TRSS season.
You may register a student for the July 20th, September 7th, or October 19th Schools here.
Those interested in volunteering or instructing for the July School can register here.
